Is there a problem with the gutter?

The guttering could be blocked up and causing it to overflow - also, for further info see if there are any overflow pipes sticking out of the roof - water tanks in the loft have these fitted to prevent flooding if the ball valve fails - if the valve has failed the water could flow out causing the same problem.
