Did your parents teach you about the 'birds and the bees'? If not, where did you learn from?

I learned second hand info from my friend's first. But when I was about 10 my mom sat me down and read me a sex ed book she bought from a Christian bookstore. The information was factual if not extensive or useful. I honestly give her props for approaching it at all when so many parents just rely on the school to handle that.
