How do you de ice your roof gutters?

take some women's nylons, fill with Ice melt (every hardware store sells it) to where you have about a 1' diameter. Lay the nylons filled with ice melt on the ice in your gutters. Use hot water to get the ice from the downspout. Once all of the ice is removed leave the nylon filled with ice melt in the gutter and also put one in the downspout. Works great. BUT, you have to fix the reason you have ice in your gutters. You have a lack of ventilation in your attic, or a lack of insulation.
