I've been staying at home because i have a broken foot and i'm afraid I'm getting out of shape.?

I got surgery on my broken foot and I'm not supposed to walk to much so that means i can't even go to school because we don't have an elevator, so that means for the past month I've been sitting on the couch all day. And before this, i had a cast on but was going to school so at least i was getting SOME exercise but I still couldn't play on my basketball team or football team, so I'm pretty out of shape and I'm beginning to worry I'm gaining to much weight. The closest thing to exercise is lifting 10 pound weights for about 25 minutes a day. So if anyone has any tips on losing weight it would REALLy help because I don't know what to do. I'm 5'10'' and weigh 150 pounds but i could always keel up with my weight you know i can play basketball all day with my friends, and also ski for about 18 hours a week competitively over the weekend, so I'm pretty healthy, I'm not sure how much i can bench but I'm pretty strong. Please please please help me !
