Do you think my teacher meant this in a perverted way?

I was using a leverage type of deal, but I need some type of small ball for it to work. So I went up to my teacher and asked him if I could borrow one of his magnetic balls. He said sure, of course. So I tried it and it did not work. When I returned the two balls to him I said, "Your balls did not work." He replied, "I've never heard that one before." Then he winked. Did he mean this in a perverted way or should I get my mind out of the gutter?
